๐ Peer Review Process
Global Scholar Publications (GSP) follows a structured, fair, and quality-focused double-blind peer review process for journals published under its platform. Our peer review system is designed to support academic integrity, editorial transparency, manuscript quality evaluation, and timely editorial decision-making.
Through this peer review process, submitted manuscripts are assessed for originality, relevance, clarity, scientific or academic merit, ethical compliance, and suitability for the selected journal. GSP aims to provide authors with a professional and efficient manuscript evaluation process while maintaining appropriate scholarly standards.
โ Purpose of Peer Review
The peer review process helps ensure that research articles published through Global Scholar Publications meet appropriate scholarly and editorial standards. Independent expert evaluation supports informed editorial decisions and helps improve the quality, clarity, and academic value of submitted manuscripts.
- ๐ Evaluates originality and academic quality
- ๐ฌ Assesses scientific, technical, clinical, or scholarly relevance
- โ๏ธ Supports fair and informed editorial decisions
- ๐ก๏ธ Helps maintain publication integrity and credibility
- ๐ Provides constructive feedback for manuscript improvement
๐งพ Type of Peer Review
Journals published by Global Scholar Publications follow a double-blind peer review model, where applicable to the individual journal. Under this model, the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process. This approach is intended to reduce potential bias and support objective, impartial, and professional evaluation of submitted manuscripts.
๐ฅ Step 1 - Manuscript Submission
The peer review process begins when an author submits a manuscript through the designated online submission system or editorial submission channel of the selected GSP journal. Authors are expected to provide complete and accurate manuscript files and supporting documents to facilitate efficient editorial processing.
Depending on the journal requirements, submitted materials may include:
- ๐ Main manuscript
- ๐ Cover page or title page
- ๐งพ Author declaration or related forms
- ๐ Supporting documents where required
๐ง Step 2 - Initial Editorial Screening
After submission, the manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening. The editorial office evaluates the submission for journal scope, completeness of files, basic formatting requirements, originality concerns, and general compliance with the journal's submission and publication policies.
The editorial screening stage helps determine whether a manuscript is suitable to proceed to external peer review. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal scope or fail to meet essential submission or ethical requirements may be declined at this stage.
๐ซ Step 3 - Plagiarism and Ethics Check
Global Scholar Publications is committed to maintaining academic and publication integrity. Submitted manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism, excessive similarity, duplicate publication, inappropriate reuse of previously published material, and other potential ethical concerns before or during the peer review process.
Manuscripts containing serious plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabricated information, unethical research practices, or other significant publication concerns may be rejected in accordance with the applicable journal policies.
๐จโโ๏ธ Step 4 - Double-Blind Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment may be forwarded to suitable peer reviewers. Reviewers are selected according to their subject expertise, academic background, research relevance, and availability.
Under the double-blind review model, reviewer and author identities remain confidential during the evaluation process. Reviewers are expected to handle manuscripts confidentially and provide objective, professional, and constructive assessments.
๐ Step 5 - Reviewer Evaluation
During the peer review process, reviewers may evaluate the manuscript according to factors including:
- ๐ Originality and novelty
- ๐ Relevance to the journal's scope
- ๐งช Methodological or technical soundness
- ๐ Accuracy of analysis, interpretation, and conclusions
- โ๏ธ Clarity, structure, and presentation quality
- โ๏ธ Ethical and scholarly compliance
- ๐ Quality and appropriateness of references
Based on the evaluation, reviewers may recommend acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Reviewer recommendations assist the editorial team but do not by themselves constitute the final publication decision.
๐จ Step 6 - Editorial Decision
After receiving reviewer comments and recommendations, the editorial team evaluates the manuscript and determines the appropriate editorial decision. The decision may include:
- โ Accept
- โ๏ธ Minor Revision
- ๐ ๏ธ Major Revision
- โ Reject
The final editorial decision may consider reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, journal scope, originality, ethical compliance, completeness of revisions, and the overall editorial assessment.
โ๏ธ Step 7 - Author Revision
When revisions are requested, authors should carefully address the comments and recommendations provided by reviewers and editors. Authors may be required to submit a revised manuscript together with a response explaining how the requested changes have been addressed.
Revised manuscripts may undergo additional editorial assessment or further peer review where considered necessary. The purpose of revision is to improve the quality, clarity, accuracy, and scholarly value of the manuscript.
๐ Step 8 - Final Acceptance and Publication
Once the manuscript satisfies the required academic and editorial standards, the editorial team may issue a final acceptance decision. Article processing charges, where applicable, are requested after the editorial decision and publication proceeds after successful payment and completion of the required publication formalities.
Accepted articles are prepared for online publication according to the requirements of the respective GSP journal. Articles published through eligible GSP journals may receive Crossref DOI support, providing a persistent identifier for scholarly citation and linking. An e-certificate of publication may also be provided according to the applicable journal's publication policy.
๐ Confidentiality and Fairness
Global Scholar Publications treats submitted manuscripts and peer review communications as confidential. Editors and reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, disclose potential conflicts of interest, and provide fair and unbiased assessments.
Reviewers should not use unpublished information obtained during the review process for personal or professional advantage. Editorial decisions should be based on scholarly and editorial considerations rather than personal characteristics or unrelated interests.
โ๏ธ Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers and editors should identify any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could affect the impartial evaluation of a manuscript. Where a significant conflict exists, an alternative reviewer or editorial decision-maker may be appointed.
Authors should also disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding information in accordance with the requirements of the selected journal.
๐ Commitment to Quality Review
Global Scholar Publications is committed to maintaining a responsible peer review system that balances academic quality, fairness, confidentiality, and efficient editorial management. The peer review process is an important component of responsible scholarly publishing and helps ensure that published research contributes meaningful and credible knowledge to the academic community.
